The Osservatorio Astronomico "G.V. Schiaparelli" is built on top of Punta Paradiso, at Monte Campo dei Fiori, 1226 meters o.s.l.

- By car: A8 highway, Varese exit. In Varese, follow the signs for the Osservatorio Astronomico or Sacro Monte. At the T-junction for Brinzio, turn left following the direction for the Osservatorio Astronomico and at the T-junction for Sacro Monte, turn left once more, then follow the main road. Be careful: the end of the road is closed to unauthorized persons, so you have to park your car at least a couple of U-turns before the chain that indicates the beginning of the Parco del Campo dei Fiori. Please try not to make it difficult for emergency vehicles or authorized people to access the Osservatorio. Reach us by foot. When the Osservatorio or the botanic garden are open, you will find the pedestrian gate on the left open.
- By train: Ferrovie dello Stato or Ferrovie Nord Milano; Varese station.
- By bus: AVT line C to Prima Cappella - Sacro Monte, then funicular (Funicolare) or bus for Sacro Monte. You will find at Piazzale Pagliaghi the line for Campo dei Fiori.
- It will take 15 minutes by foot to reach the Osservatorio from the main gate.
